"PROGRAMMED RADIO" BROADCAST MASTER TAPE
FAMOUS COUNTRY ARTISTS! - FABULOUS SOUND!
SELLING PRICE IS LESS THEN THE VALUE OF THE RAW TAPE STOCK!

Up for sale is this 7.5ips, 1/2 track stereo, MASTER TAPE of Country and Western music from many famous artists. This was used by a company called "House Of Music," to prepare Programmed Music reels for radio stations to broadcast in the overnight hours when they did not need DJ's to spin records. Tapes such as this one were generally used by stations around the country because it was far easier and less expensive to have tapes running all night with only an engineer to stop & start the tape machine and do the commercial inserts.

The recording artists and songs are: Steve Wariner - Small Town Girl Randy Travis - No Place Like Home Hank Williams Jr - Country State Of Mind Eddy Raven - Sometimes A Lady Tanya Tucker - One Love At A Time Gatlin Brothers - Talkin' To The Moon Ricky Skaggs - Love's Gonna Get You Someday George Strait - You're Something Special To Me Sweethearts Of The Rodeo - Midnight Girl/Sunset Town Dwight Yoakam - Guitars', Cadillacs Roseann Cash - Second To No One John Conlee - Old School Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Stand A Little Rain Janie Fricke - Easy To Please Mickey Gilley - Your Memory Ain't What It Used To Be Merle Haggard - I Had A Beautiful Time Waylon Jennings - Will The Wolf Survive? Juice Newton - Old Flame John Schneider - At The Sound Of The Tone Statler Brothers - Count On Me Barbara Mandrell - No One Mends A Broken Heart Like You Do Ronnie McDowell - All Tied Up Anne Murray - Now And Forever Forester Sisters - Mama's Never Seen Those Eyes Don Williams - We've Got A Good Fire Going Keith Whitley - Homecoming '63
This tape runs for approximately 90 minutes (in one direction only) at 7.5ips and comes in the eco-pack box as shown in the picture. You can choose to listen to the tape as is or erase it and record your own music.
The tape is recorded on Ampex 407 and has been properly de-hydrated and will play perfectly when you get it. You may find a little shedding on rewind but the tapes will not stick or shed in playback. Like all Ampex 407 tapes, this will need to be "baked" again sometime in the future. How soon depends a lot on the climate where you live. A warm damp climate will require baking sooner and cold dry one will require baking later. It's that simple. There is a 1kHz tone at the head of each reel. It MAY have splices but we have found most of these reels to be splice free.
