200 gram QUIEX SV-P Supervinyl audiophile release by Classic Records. Long out of print and growing harder to find, this is one of the finest vinyl reissues of it's kind. On the TAS (The Absolute Sound) List of exceptional recordings.
One of the most sought after titles from the legendary Mercury "Living Presence" line because of it's incredible sonic qualities. Mercury revolutionized stereo with these groundbreaking recordings. The Classic Records reissue was produced, musically supervised and 3- to 2- channel conversion for LP by Wilma Cozart Fine.
Highly collectable release from audiophile label, Classic Records. This title was mastered by Classic Records at Half Speed from the original source master tapes. An all-analog, tube amplification process was used at every step. Classic Records used a proprietary vinyl that guaranteed virtually no surface noise and sonically superior dynamics.
Classic Records pride themselves for releasing each album with the original artwork, LP labels and any other materials which were included with original pressings.
Record is new and still sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Corners are sharp, colors vibrant and spine is straight. There are no flaws or blemishes. 100% mint.
Review: Prokofiev's The Love for Three Oranges and Sythian Suite are beautifully performed by Antal Dorati conducting The London Symphony in 1957. The Classic reissue was from the original 3 track session masters under the supervision of Wilma Cozart Fine at Bernie Grundman Mastering. This is one of the most desirable Mercury's both from a musical and a sonic standpoint.
