THE PROMISSORY NOTES:Flowers/Purple Haze (Claw CR-1220/1/196?)
Fairly unknown and uncomped heavy fuzzer believed to be from Rhode Island. Flowers is a great dose of hippie psych with a cool fuzz solo, and ends with some good feedback. The slightly funky melody reminds me of the song Love on the 1st Country Joe & the Fish LP. Their cover of Purple Haze is a solid fairly straightforward heavy version with some fuzz riffing and the standard Hendrix guitar solos in the middle and end. The guitairst flubs a few notes in the end solo.
The record looks VG+ (moderate amount of light scuffs and hairlines; couple of slightly heavier marks), plays Ex (couple of spots with some light crackling).
