We purchased a large album collection from a former DJ for a local Atlanta area radio station, WBLJ in Dalton, GA, back in the 1950s-1970s awhile back.  We've picked up several other collections over the years as well.  Quite a few of the albums are promotional albums and cover several different genres of music from classical to jazz to pop to folk to blues to rock and everything in between.  We'll be listing them individually and in lots over the coming weeks and months since it will take awhile to list so many albums.  If vinyl is your thing, feel free to add us to your favorite sellers list and check out our inventory as we add more as often as time permits.

Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is a promo copy of Bernstein Plays Brubeck Plays Bernstein LP released by Columbia Records in the U.S. in 1960.

This album is the first mono promo pressing and the current Goldmine price guide has this album valued at $80.

Just in case you don't know, the 10th edition of the Goldmine Record Album price guide is the most recent one and it was published back in 2019.  I'd sure love to see a new price guide get released soon.  We have the 8th edition published in 2012 and the 9th edition published in 2017 and the value of this album was $25 and $75 repectively in those, so it's gone up nicely as of 2019 and is certainly worth even more mow.

The vinyl on this album is pretty clean, particularly given it's 65 years old, with a few to a handful of really light and small scratches on each side, but it could use a quick cleaning. 

In addition to the scratches, there are a some light fingerprints, smudges and marks on the vinyl it's picked up over the decades.  They will certainly come off with a proper cleaning, such as an ultrasonic cleaning.  However, there are plenty of sites online as well that show you how to properly clean vinyl without an ultrasonic cleaning machine.

We'd estimate this album to be in very good plus to excellent condition after a proper cleaning.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not play test albums, as that would take us a lifetime to do for the hundreds of albums we list very year.  We give a visual description and estimated grade of the vinyl.  Please see the pictures above and description below for an idea of the condition of the labels, sleeve and album cover.  If there are any condition issues that you can't see, such as seam splits, scratches or spots on the vinyl, we will indicate that in the description.

The labels on the album are very clean and in excellent to near mint condition with no spindle marks.

The inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no seam splits.

The cover is in very good plus condition with no seam splits and a little wear and spots around the edges on the back.

This album will be shipped in a record shipping box via media mail with the USPS.  We wrap all of our albums in two layers of bubble wrap and then add a piece of cardboard on each side for extra protection during shipping.
