ITEM:    RARE AND IN DEMAND -  " Stardust ", Promo Picture Disc, by Willie Nelson . Released by Columbia Records.  

COMMENTS/CONDITION: NOTE: The vertical white lines you see on the bottom half of the pictures ARE NOT ON THE RECORD - they are reflections of the camera flash on the disc's surface. Record came from a private collection. It is not a beat up record bought at a yard sale. The record is visually graded, and was not test played. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

NOTE: THESE PICTURE DISCS ARE BEING SOLD AS COLLECTOR ITEMS, TO BE USED FOR ARTISTIC PURPOSES OR DISPLAY - THEY  ARE NOT  BEING SOLD AS PLAYABLE RECORDS, AND NO GUARANTEE IS MADE AS TO SOUND QUALITY.  IF YOU WANT LPS TO LISTEN TO, YOU SHOULD BUY THE HIGHER QUALITY BLACK VINYL ISSUES, NOT THE PICTURE DISCS.


VINTAGE PICTURE DISCS LIKE THESE WERE MANUFACTURED AS PROMOTIONAL ITEMS ONLY, NOT MEANT FOR REPEATED PLAYING. MOST RECORD COMPANIES PRINTED DISCLAIMERS ON THE COVERS WARNING AGAINST POOR AUDIO QUALITY WHEN COMPARED TO STANDARD BLACK VINYL PRODUCTS.

 RECORD IS VISUALLY GRADED. I DID NOT TEST PLAY THE LP. ON ALL PICTURE DISCS, REPEATED PLAYING WILL CAUSE GROOVE WEAR AND EVENTUALLY BUBBLING BETWEEN THE VINYL AND THE PAPER PICTURE UNDERNEATH.

The album is still encased in opened shrink wrap. Shrink wrap is nice and snug, with a tear in the cellophane along the top left corner.  There are no stickers. labels. or price tags. Minor ring/rub wear can be seen on the cellophane. Cover has curls to the corners due to tightening of the shrink wrap over the years. All seams are strong with no splits. This is not a cut-out - no punch holes, notches, or clipped corners.

The vinyl is in very good condition, with crisp, bright colors and pictures. There are a few light surface scuffs, but there are no deep scratches, cracks, of chips.
