Description
THE BYRDS Sweetheart of The Rodeo 1st STEREO Pitman pressing, DJ PROMO copy with timing strip on front cover. This appears to be a Pitman pressing based on the runouts. Has a "o" and what looks like a "p" in the runouts. Definitely not a Terre Haute, but could possibly be a Santa Maria, it's hard sometimes to distinguish a backwards "s" and a tiny "p". Either way this is a fantastic sounding super early promo copy of this pioneering album!
VINYL in VG+ Fully test played (many times, this has been my go-to copy for years). Vinyl has surface scuffs and scratches that cause some crackle and an occasional pop here and there, but it has a lovely soundstage and full bright sound. Any crackle is minimal and hardly an issue in my opinion, fantastic copy. Doesn't look perfect, but the sound is excellent.
COVER in VG with creasing around edges, chipping especially on bottom seam near spine, though ALL SEAMS ARE INTACT. The spine has a bit of chipping starting, scant chipping on top seam. Corner bumps/wear, upper right corner has paper loss (see photos). Minor rubbing on back. The DJ Promo strip has a few checkmarks in blue pen (see photos).
