Description
This is a copy of the very RARE UK VERTIGO Records (SWIRL label) release by GORDON - "GORDON" - 6360 069, release in 1972. This is Gordon Waller of 60's pop duo Peter & Gordon and this is his solo album that, according to the Vertigo sales figures for '72/ '73 sold only 23 copies - so we are talking a genuine rarity here. The vinyl is clean and shiny with only a couple of surface marks, more due to taking in and out of the inner bag than real damage. There are no skips or jumps, but there is a bit of surface noise in the quiet bits. The non-laminate sleeve is generally in fine shape with a fully readable spine. Being 'black', there are always hairline colour breaks around the edge and this copy has it's share, but nothing to spoil the overall look of the sleeve. The dreaded sticker removal mark has been dealt with by it's previous owner, with some reasonably neat colouring, The areas are top r/h front and top l/h back. With todays keen interest in perfection, a new owner could easily improve these repairs with the tools we have at our disposal today Luckily these marks do not affect the sleeve design and as they sit in the black boarder of the sleeve. So, a genuine RARITY and a quite reasonable copy. If this is one of the VERTIGO records you need to complete your SWIRL collection, you will not be disappointed !
