I have been an avid collector of vinyl for 30+ years. Now the time has come for me to depart with some items from my beloved collection in order to downsize.  Please see my other items if this interests you.

We have here an original UK first pressing of the Psychedelic classic by Welsh band  Eyes of Blue - Crossroads of Time.  

This one hardly ever comes up for auction but is a highly sought after psychedelic classic, a true lost gem of an album.

Youtube 'Crossroads of Time' or 'Love is the Law' if you havent heard them, I'd say theyre quite like the Zombies or maybe Simon Dupree & the big sound  - highly under-rated and sadly short lived as other members moved on to Man and Gentle Giant

"By Rights, Eyes of Blue should have an exalted place in the pantheon of art rock and progressive rock bands. They were around before almost all of them and doing film work and making music in a jazz-rock fusion idiom before the latter had been understood, and they were signed two major labels in succession, Deram and Mercury.

Instead, except for drummer John Weathers, who later joined Gentle Giant, the Eyes of Blue are scarcely remembered at all.

The Eyes of Blue started out as a jazz and rhythm and blues-orientated outfit (Graham Bond wrote the notes for their first album), doing songs in that vein as well as less well suited material such as 'Yesterday'.

They were initially signed to Decca's progressive rock imprint DERAM Records, and cut a series of excellent but neglected singles, and then moved to Mercury, where they concentrated on albums, enjoying their greatest musical, if not commercial success.

They were taken seriously enough to collaborate with Quincy Jones on the score of the movie Toy Grabbers and the group actually managed to appear in the movie 'Connecting Rooms'.

Their early strength lay in R&B based material including Bond's 'Love is the Law', 'Crossroads of Time' and '7 and 7' but even on their first album, the Eyes of Blue showed some Eastern influences."

FIRST UK Pressing on Mercury label Ref 20134 SCL - Stereo

The Record: EX ...I have test played this from start to finish. There are a few light surface marks but nothing serious....just a little light crackle here and there. Label has a little spindle wear when turned to the light but this has seen very little turntable time.

Labels are otherwise clean and free from writing / marks

Inner Sleeve is plain white

Outer sleeve is front laminated, matt at the back  - grades as an EX, just a few hairline creases here and there.

Spine still nicely readable though has a few light creases

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
