THUNDERPUSSY
"Documents Of Captivity" 1973 US private press progressive psych original issue, MRT RL-31748 with lyric insert, still in the shrinkwrap. Legendary producer/studio engineer George Tutko was the drummer in this abnd, on this album, long before his career as engineer on Rolling Stones and many other albums.
Thunderpussy was managed/booked by the same agency as the band I was in at the time and we were friends through the early/mid-70's. Thunderpussy guitarist Steven Jay Morris was very much into bands like Wishbone Ash and conceptual rock. He filled in with our band on guitar and vocals briefly while I was in the hospital circa 1975. Thunderpussy bassist Ben Russell and I both used Gibson EB-3 basses which was not common, and which made us part of a sort of 'brotherhood'. Mine was a raw wood-grain finish, but Ben's was white, which must have been very rare. After the band broke up George moved to LA and the rest is history.
There is slight record storage impression only, and there is a slight minor 'push' in the lower right corner tip, otherwise the shrinkwrap is fully intact, no creases or splits in the cover, and the insert is perfectly flat. There is one short purely superficial mark on side 1 and a longer but also purely superficial mark on side 2, both are totally minor and do not affect play whatsoever, otherwise the LP has full gloss. No writing or stickers on labels or cover.
