PSYCHO FACTION - ONE WAY TICKET TO THE ASYLUM (14-TRACK CASSETTE) CONTAMINATED CASSETTES (SELF-RELEASED) - RAD-1 - UK 1982 Rare original cassette-only release from 1982 by the excellent anarcho punk band from Cumbria (the contact address is at Cleator Moor, other sources say the band is from Whitehaven) - comes complete with the A4 inlay with lyrics and info on the band plus the the original case with a sticker carrying the title of the cassette (stamped) and the band name (hand-written). Not sure how many tracks in the cassette as the track-listing is cut-off at the bottom of the page but according to the credits by the band this is the 2nd issue of the cassette re-recorded and with 2 extra tracks "Labour Camps" and "Attack The System". Also the band explains the low quality: "This tape was recorded at a live practice in late Jan 82. The sound quality is really bad, the reason for this being the original tape was stolen, and as we had requests for tapes we recorded this one with fairly cheap tape recorder.." The cassette has hand-written labels with code RAD 1 suggesting that this is the first release by CONTAMINATED CASSETTES label (the 2nd release is RAD 2 from 1983 which is a great compilation cassette titled 'Contamination Compilation'). A nice rare and 100% genuine original item (I'm aware from personal experience that the cassette market is flooded with fakes) from the punk and new wave scene of the early '80s. CONDITION (I don't use higher than ex/ex) cover: vg cassette: vg * no big problems, I prefer modest grading for these old low-quality DIY cassettes, they would play with minor defects and depending on the quality of the equipment (play-tested on mine which is average). The band explain reasons for poor quality in the inlay.
