Description
Very rare 1979 original UK pressing of PIL's "Metal Box", 3 mini-LPs contained in a special metal canister with the PIL logo embossed on it. Absolutely phenomenal sound on the original vinyl, a monster of a bass sound and incredible dynamics and atmospherics on the 45rpm vinyl, mastered by the legendary Tim Young at CBS (tim tom). No other version compares.
In amazing condition for its age, the metal canister is still in excellent, almost like new, condition, usually these are quite a bit more rusted looking. Play tested and VPI cleaned, the 3 records look to have been barely ever played, plays near mint, very clean, gorgeous sound throughout. It also has the small insert with song titles, credits, etc, and all the original paper inserts that separate the records.
