PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) Metal Box 1979 UK VIRGIN ORIGINAL . Condition is Used.
“Public Image Ltd (abbreviated as PiL) are an English post-punk band formed by singer John Lydon (a.k.a. Johnny Rotten), guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, and drummer Jim Walker. The group's personnel has changed frequently over the years; Lydon has been the sole constant member. Following the breakup of the Sex Pistols, Lydon was eager to pursue a more experimental project and formed PiL in 1978. This their second album Metal Box (1979) pushed their sound further into the avant-garde, and is often regarded as among the most influential and challenging albums of the post-punk era.
This is from my private record collection. I bought it at the time of issue.
As you can see the box is tarnished. Given its age I don't think this is unusual. Condition is good. The records play well with no major problems, their are some small scratch's that don't affect the sound.
Please note that Side B ends with a locked groove which means that it repeats the last few seconds of 'Swan Lake' endlessly until the needle is lifted from the record. This is intentional by the producers and can be researched online
