Description

This great item is the vintage classical vinyl three record box set 'Puccini: Manon Lescaut' performed by the Orchestra of the Opera House, Rome conducted by Jonel Perlea. It was released on the HMV label with the catalogue number ALP 1326-8 and with the sought-after 'Semi-circle' label it is an original pressing dating from the Fifties. It is in, as can be seen, fantastic condition, looking as if carefully and rarely played and well stored. For a detailed description:

• Box - bright and glossy. Slight wear to edges and corners. Fading to spine. Comes with original cardboard packaging and tissue paper protection.
  
• Insert - always a good indicator of how well an item has been cared for. It is bright, clean and free from creasing.
  
• Records - visually inspected under a bright light I can see nothing - scratches or marks - that would affect the playing or sound quality.

Overall, this is a fifty year-old set in exceptional condition. As can be seen from my feedback - a rating of 4.9 on 'Item Description' - I take time to carefully and accurately describe items, listing any possible faults and generally get it right. While I cannot possibly be an expert on all the items I sell, I have thirty-five years experience buying and selling vinyl records so it's an area about which I have some knowledge - trust the description and buy with confidence. I have also, of course, considerable experience of packing records carefully and securely for sending worldwide - it will arrive in the same great condition in which it leaves me.

This is the second wave of records I am selling from a superlative collection - the previous ones I listed sold well to some very exacting, fastidious buyers who were prepared to pay well for them, were very happy with their purchases, the packing and dispatch time, and many of whom left feedback attesting to this.

In fantastic condition, and with the superior sound quality of an original pressing, this would be a splendid addition to any collection of vintage classical records.
