Phenomenal LP by the master Piero Umiliani that here collects all the best Italian Library musicians of the time for one of his most highly-regarded records assembled for his Sound Work Shop studio sessions. An incredible LP that merges typical Umilian's Electronic/Moog Jazz style with elements of Lounge/Space-Age groovin' Jazz-Pop samples performed by an incredible orchestra. Inspired by Urban music landscapes and flowed into Jazz interpretation, this is 100% a legendary, brilliant Piero's masterpiece. Listen!

Same themes reinterpreted and proposed again in the album as "L'UOMO E LA CITTA'", "CITTA' AMICA" and "CENTRALI TERMICHE". Both sides opener "L'UOMO E LA CITTA'" is orchestral tensed Swingin' Jazz groove, main theme played by the piano with magnificent variations performed by E.Pierannunzi. Following version played by the Brass instead of Piano, then the third version is a killer Bboy sample, V.Restuccia's Hip Hop drums accompained by Antonello Vannucchi's Hammond. 1st version of "CITTA' AMICA" delightful Bossa based theme in superb Lounge/Space-Age style, melodic Beat relaxing theme played by the flutes, trumpets and saxhorns. 2nd version much thematic and descriptive sounds, slower Urban Lounge set by Umiliani's Moog, O.Valdambrini's saxhorn and Vannucchi's Hammond organ. "CITTA' FRENETICA" similar in style to CITTA' AMICA, frenetic percussions reflex counterposed rhythms, perfect City movie Score. "VIADOTTI" also sampled by RendeVouz collective is an oustanding track played by the whole orchestra; super-cool groove with dope percussions session here, drum Breaks and Moody long flutes and saxhorns sequence. "RETE URBANA" amazing Pierannunzi's Fender Piano solo, Restuccia's dope Braen's Machine crazy drums and Vanucchi's Hammond tunes: insane fast super-groovy Jazzy shot, Umiliani's Electronic Moog effects in the end. "CENTRALI TERMICHE" total KILLER Industry-inspired Electronic groove: obstinated Industrial and Mechanic theme, Fender Rhodes, heavy drums and exasperated Piano-Organ accompaniment. 2nd version more oppressive and Industrial-styled. Ending "SUONI DALLA CITTA'" Experimental Urban lanscapes played by Piano Fender, informal tunes and echoes, Moody rhythmics.
