PUNK ROCK - NEW WAVE 77 Sampler LP - Pirate Dream PD001 - Released 1977.

This is the monster rare sampler LP released back in 1977 by DJ Antonio Sergio (RIP) to celebrate the birth of 70's Punk. Antonio Sergio was the Portuguese John Peel he was decades on the radio and he divulgated through the years lots of different music from Prog to Punk and from Metal to Experimental Rock. Since no label in 1977 was interested in releasing Punk records in Portugal he did it himself pressing only 500 copies of this compilation with a lot of great bands. Also curious to point in the history of this record were the legal threats of the label that represented in Portugal the Sex Pistols, that sued the Radio DJ in question and with that, the copies were withdrawn from stores, making this record nowadays one of the most sought after records of Punk Rock made in Portugal. Also it was told that all the bands compiled here were taken off cassettes the DJ got from someone in London. THIS IS ONE OF THE HARDEST TO FIND Punk records made in Portugal like the Sex Pistols and Cock Sparrer portuguese singles!
This is a must for any collection of 70's Punk, as well for any collection of Motorhead, Pistols,Jam or Skre*dri*er. I've seen this one sold recently for 310 gbp and 370 usd so hurry up and get this for a great price! This copy is from my private collection, i stored it for many years in great condition, now it's finally time to go!
