Description
The glorious Shangri-Las' debut LP, first UK pressing from 1964, in glorious mono of course. I grade the record at EX because of a tiny non-sounding mark tr 1 side 2. There are two side 2 labels and the original owner has thoughtfully written 'Side 1' in red ballpoint on what is in fact side 1. The half laminated Garrod and Lofthouse flipback jacket has one minor crease to the laminate at the opening and just tiny wear to the tips. Our original owner has written the number '54' at top right verso and underlined Leader Of The Pack in the track listing in blue ballpoint. I'll have to grade it EX it is otherwise so clean. Replacement lined innerbag donkey's years ago. An essential record in all-round lovely EX condition. Not an easy find. For playing LOUD.
The purge of the collection continues..... a varied batch this week.

Used records play-checked on SME 15, SME V with VDH cart and cleaned when necessary on a Loricraft Pro II.
GRADINGS:
MINT (M): Brand new and unplayed. Perfect, no indications of being handled or played. I only use this grading if I know for sure the record has not been played.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record is virtually flawless, clean and shiny. Very minor, barely visible innerbag wear may be permitted, but no scratches. Jacket is as close to perfect.
EXCELLENT (EX): Record plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a non-sounding mark or two but nothing that affects play. Record is clean and shiny. Any issues with the jacket will be minor and described.
Because I have never collected records that are a lower grade than EX, you won’t be finding any for sale here.
