Ok, people. Here it is: the ULTIMATE memorial Pantera package for the ultimate fan!!
Pantera's 1st LP Mint and with all included original promo and fan club inserts. Autographed on the back (cellophane is still on) by Dimebag and Vinnie. I hung outside of their tour bus for almost 3 hours waiting for these autographs and there was some severe partying going on. That's probably why Vinnie's autograph is so sloppy and Dimebag's barely got past the "D"! Great guys all the same even though they could barely stand up. Rex was there, too, but he ended up flinging the other LP cover in this listing high in the air and shouting at me, "You know we're NOT about that anymore!!!" (I guess he was talking about their "Glam-style" look.) Drunken idiot didn't stop to think that I was showing him that I was a fan from way back.
Pantera's 2nd LP in excellent condition and with fan club order form in the RAREST GOLDEN YELLOW vinyl. This one has never failed to illicit gasps from metal fans and others alike because it's the coolest vinyl LP I've ever seen. Luckily, when Rex flung this cover in the air, I caught it PLUS I left the record itself at home.
Also included is a Cowboys From Hell guitar pick that Darrell gave to me when he gave me the free tix and backstage passes for this show. He treated me really nicely since we were both endorsing Washburn Guitars at the time.
I've fought with myself a lot about the potential view of capitalizing on someone's death, but the bottom line is that I had all this stuff ready to auction anyway and I've been too busy to list it until now. I have another few SUPER RARE autographed things that I'll be listing soon. I have many bills and family matters that are costing me dearly right now, so I'm not one of the many $$$-grubbing dirtbags on here that are listing Pantera LPs for $1000 or guitar picks for $50. (Unbelievable!!!) I'm sure if I listed all these separately I could technically make more money, but that's not what it's about here. This is from one devoted fan to another.
Terms of auction are as follows: No bidders from outside the USA or who have not yet earned at least 5 positive feedbacks without a negative OR if you've received a negative in the past 6 months. Shipping will be determined by your Zip Code, weight and final insurance value. Payment must be US Postal money order (no Paypal, cash or checks of any kind accepted) and is due within 7 days of the end of this auction. All sales final. No exceptions to these rules and I reserve the right to cancel this auction if I find out a winner is in violation of them.
