Description
Visually this is a pretty disc aside from moderate groove graying, but plays well below average. There is some shine and lustre left in the shellac but this just isn't a very good player; but, of course, I am very picky and not a fan of acoustics anyway. Also note the label buckling on the Havanola side. If you want to give it a home, here you are. No cracks or deep scratches-- as I said, visually it's decent enough but going gray. A collector friend pointed out that perhaps the iffy audio quality comes from a vertical cut, which makes some sense, but whatever the reason my Shure cartridge doesn't get along with it. Your call, give it a shot if you wish. I'll even throw in a Scroll Victor Benny Goodman that has also seen better days.
