Description
Here's a great recording on the Paramount label, "Testifying Meeting", Part 1 and Part II. The number on the label is 12742. It is described as "Holiness Sermon With Singing", by the Rev. P. W. Williams, Assisted by Samuel Alexander and Sanctified Singers. There are no sticks or skips on the records, but there is background static typical of some old 78s.My photo is fuzzy trying to do a close-up of the label, but the label itself is not fuzzy, that's the camera. I do have the Paramount sleeve that goes with it. It has a tear on it, but is interesting in that it lists other Paramount recordings, by Lemon Jefferson, Blind Blake, Ramblin' thomas, Elzadie Robinson, Ma Rainey, Ida Cox, Norfolk Jubilee Quartette, Paramount Jubilee Singers, Papa Charlie Jackson, Bert Mays, and George "Bullet" Williams.
