ORIGINAL UK PARLOPHONE (PMC 1240) FIRST *MONO* PRESSING  1964 OF THE BEATLES CLASSIC "Beatles For Sale " IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION & DELIVERING TOP AUDIO QUALITY THROUGHOUT -

WONDERFUL BRIGHT, CLEAN, SHARP AND FRESH SOUND - INCREDIBLY RARE TO STILL FIND LIKE THIS - PLAYS NEAR MINT - FANTASTIC COPY !

THE HEAVYWEIGHT DISC LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE DAY IT CAME OUT OF THE PRESS. IT HAS RETAINED ALL OF IT'S ORIGINAL SHEEN. IN DAYLIGHT THERE IS NOT A MARK ON IT,AND IT LOOKS FLAWLESS.

THESE ORIGINAL MONOS ARE REALLY THE ONLY WAY TO HEAR THE BEATLES IN ALL THEIR GLORY - THE MONOS HAVE A MUCH MORE IMMEDIATE, FRESH, VIBRANT AND UNDILUTED SOUND THAN THE STEREOS AND THEY STILL SOUND AS FRESH AND EXCITING TODAY AS THEY DID 48 YEARS AGO

THE SLEEVE

OF ALL THE BEATLES ALBUMS, THIS SLEEVE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE HARDEST TO FIND IN REAL TOP CONDITION. ENTIRELY DUE TO THE FLIMSY DESIGN AND THE WAY IN WHICH THE LP WAS HOUSED INSIDE THE SLEEVE. THE VAST MAJORITY OF COPIES WILL HAVE CREASED FRONT SURFACE/FOLDOVERS, DAMAGED SPINES, TORN INNER POCKET, AND RINGWEAR ON THE REAR SURFACE

THIS MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE HAS ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THE ABOVE!!!

OPENING THE GATEFOLD REVEALS JUST HOW SUPERB THIS SLEEVE IS, AND WHY IT IS IN THE CONDITION THAT IT IS. MOST COPIES HAVE DAMAGED INNER SPINES, OR AT LEAST NICKS TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM TIPS. THIS IS ENTIRELY DUE TO THE WAY THE RECORD IS HOUSED BY INSERTING IT FROM THE SPINE INTO THE INNER POCKET. AS THIS IS SUCH A TIGHT FIT, IT IS ALL TO EASY TO ACCIDENTALLY NICK THE POCKET EDGE AND TEAR IT, BUT FAR MORE LIKELY IS THE FACT THAT UNLESS THE LP IS FULLY HOUSED INSIDE THE POCKET, CLOSING THE GATEFOLD OFTEN RESULTED IN ANY EXCESS VINYL PROTRUDING FROM THE SLEEVE TO ACT LIKE A BLUNT KNIFE AND OVER TIME DAMAGED THE SPINE.

THIS SPINE IS ABSOLUTELY UNBLEMISHED/ NOT ONE SPECK OF DAMAGE TO THE SPINE, NOR ANY DAMAGE TO THE INNER POCKET. ABSOLUTELY NEAR MINT

IT IS SO OBVIOUS THAT THIS ALBUM HAS BARELY BEEN OUT OF THE SLEEVE

THE FLIPBACKS ARE ALSO PRISTINE, AND THERE HAS BEEN NO LOSS OF THE DELICATE BLACK SURFACE TO EITHER INNER SURFACE COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL GREASE-PROOF PAPER LINED EMITEX INNER SLEEVE

Clean white  spine & text stunning ! NEAR MINT

LABELS: The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with just a little wear on the spindle hole but no evident spindle traces. - this copy has clearly seen very little play NEAR MINT

VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen and are unmarked - the record shines like-new NEAR MINT

VINYL Audio: Sensational sound reproduction throughout - crystal clear, clean, crisp, sharp and vibrant sound - Amazing you will not hear better ! NEAR MINT

There are no scratches, no sticks or jumps, no surface noise and no clicks or pops. (literally) and plays clean into the run ins & run-offs and the track linking grooves are all silent on both sides ,

The sound quality is simply sensational and the whole LP plays to the highest possible standard with all frequencies bright and clear, no groove-wear, no distortion, sounds stunning and is critically graded a very, very strong NEAR MINT for audio - it's practically flawless Beautiful copy and very, very highly recommended indeed

SLEEVE: The G&L front laminated flipback cover is also in beautiful condition - crisp, sharp, unworn edges and spine - which displays all text clear and bold. . Superb example - NEAR MINT
and the original EMITEX inner is clean, fresh and unmarked with no splits (just some creasing - please see photos) - NEAR MINT

So there you have it ' they do not come better than this

And just to mention this stunning Lp has come from a Classical Record Reviewers collection this and the Beatles " A Hard Day's Night " ( please see other listing ) were the only non Classical records he had and told me how he had been sent them by EMI in the 1960's to review played once on high end Audio System and then stored until now... truly Fantastic !!
