This record is in VG+/M- condition.  The cover is also VG+/M-.
When this record was made it was the 1960s, the heyday of singers who wrote political songs protesting positions and activities of "The Establishment." Bob Dylan had gone electric a year earlier and had pretty much ceased writing protest songs, but singer-writers such as Phil Ochs were still producing numerous topical compositions.
Patrick Sky was no different from other Village singers and writers of topical songs.  His one quality that differed from most of the suburban white folksingers in New York's Greenwich Village was that he was part indigenous American, descended from both Creek and Irish.  As far as folk nicks in the Village knew, Patrick Sky and Buffy Saint-Marie were the only two representatives of Indigenous Americans among them.
Sky began his career singing traditional folksongs and eventually turned to political compositions.  This record catches him mid-stream: It's half topical and half traditional material.  Between the traditional songs he plays and sings, he has sandwiched his own compositions.
Terri Van Ronk wrote the liner notes with her husband, Dave -- a prolific and talented folksinger himself.  The notes don't say much about the songs, and Sky's poem that is printed on the back of the cover does not say much about his ability to write poetry, but both give the record a sense of familiarity.
This was Sky's second album. In many ways this record represents a period when folk singing became strongly contemporary political. Many of those who would become famous turned away from both traditional and political material to strike out on their own, using their performing and creative talents in other ways.  It was the beginning of the end of the folksong revival craze.  
This is a rarely found record.
