Description

Known as the "Punk Poet Laureate", Patti Smith released her debut album "Horses" in 1975, with cover photo by Robert Mapplethorpe.
"Early Work" a book of her poetry published in 1994, also contains many Robert Mapplethorpe photographs.
She creates a fusion in her art, music and poetry, and helped to pioneer the punk rock scene in NYC in the early 70's, along with Lou Reed.
