Description
Paul Desmond – Glad to Be Unhappy (RCA, 1965) Mono Original Pressing VG/G+ Vinyl LP
Original 1965 mono pressing of Glad to Be Unhappy from legendary alto saxophonist Paul Desmond. Best known for his work with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Desmond delivers his signature warm tone and lyrical phrasing throughout this superb session. A wonderful example of his melodic, understated approach to jazz and a favorite among fans of cool jazz.
Condition:
Vinyl: VG – a few visible marks. Plays with intermittent surface noise that is most noticeable at the beginning of Side B. The noise is not distracting and the record remains an excellent listen overall with strong sound quality throughout.
Sleeve: G+ – obvious signs of age and handling wear. Previous library ownership is evident, and the library stamps on the front and back have been marked out. Despite the cosmetic issues, the cover is structurally sound with no major seam failures.
