Paul McCartney – BBC Rock Hour Transcription LP Version B
In the USA, BBC transcription discs were marketed as the BBC Rock Hour with their own custom label. This transcription disc, #317, is of a Desert Island Discs programme featuring Paul McCartney. The broadcast date for American stations was the week commencing 25 April 1982. The record commences with two promos for the programme by Richard Skinner and an introduction by Dick Sheppard. For the American audience there is then an explanation by Richard Skinner of the format of Desert Island Discs. Unlike a regular BBC transcription disc, the BBC Rock Hour series included American radio adverts, in this case for Coors Beer. On sides 1 and 2, adverts are placed in the middle of the side, and at the beginning of side 2. Each radio network airing the Rock Hour programme may have had different sponsors for the programme. Therefore, the same Rock Hour disc would be pressed with these alterations, but with the same content. The different pressings would be designated as Version A, or Version B. This disc is version B. Version A has adverts for Miller High Life instead of Coors. There is a double sided cue sheet accompanying the record.
The record is in ex- condition, and was obtained directly from the founder of radio station KVMX-FM, Eastland, Texas, in 1988.Terms

With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, items will be mailed the following working day that the payment is available, as advised to me by ebay. The address and addressee used to send mail is that informed to me by ebay. A certificate of posting will be obtained and the status on ebay updated to indicate that the item has been despatched. Speed of delivery is entirely down to the post office.
