Description
This is the incredibly rare picture disc version of the 1979 Paul McCartney & Wings LP 'Back To The Egg'.
It is believed that less than 100 of these records were produced, for promotional purposes only.
While good counterfeits have been produced (in the mid-80s, we believe), they are noticable by a distinctly lesser picture quality, and differences in the matrix numbers. The details for this copy are as follows:
Side 1:
- Matrix no. YEX 987-2 at 6 o'clock relative to the picture.
- 'NICK W' at 2 0'clock.
- Faint marks that could be '12' at 9 o'clock
- Matrix no. YEX 988-4 at 6 o'clock
- 'NICK' just above 3 o'clock, with what looks like '1c' just above it.
- What may be '12' at 9 o'clock
The sleeve is in excellent condition, with no creases, scrapes, or discolourations of any kind.
The record is also in excellent condition, although there is a small blemish on the vinyl approximately halfway through the third track on side 2 (at approx. 10 o'clock, for the successful bidder to find...). It is, however, completely inaudible. The record appears unplayed, although we have checked it in places to ensure it's condition.
All in all, a beautiful copy of one of the scarcest Beatle-related records!
