Description
Up for auction is a rare Paul McCartney 45rpm mono promo of "Too Many People" and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey". This was released to promote the "RAM" album.
Unlike a number of mono promos, this promo is quite unique because both of these tracks are "dedicated" mono mixes, meaning that McCartney created special mono mixes as opposed to just going to the stereo tracks and folding them down, or "collapsing" them to mono.
* If you compare these tracks to their stereo counterparts some of the differences you'll hear are: 1) On "Too Many People" the backing vocals are mixed lower, not as much "processing", and a longer fade out. 2) On "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" there's flanging on the intro guitar and the hi-hat is missing on the beginning of the "Admiral Halsey" section. In addition, a vocal harmony at 3' 10 on the word "water" is missing.

As to condition, overall I am rating this a VG. I'd like to rate it higher because it really plays quite well. The only real issue I find with it is that there are 5 rather noticeable, repeating pops at the end of "Too Many People". If it weren't for that I'd be giving it a VG++ rating.
This has been cleaned on a VPI machine and put into a poly-lined sleeve. It's ready for play. This comes with a black apple sleeve.
