Original promotional release 7” 45 RPM “Band On The Run” single from Paul McCartney & Wings album of the same name released by Apple Records in 1973, whose factory sealed copy with a very rare sticker you can find among our currently listed items. This copy was pressed at the Capitol Records, Los Angeles, CA plant several months prior to the single official release date. Side 1 contains the Mono version of the song being edited at 3:50 while Side 2 containing the Stereo version is edited at 5:09. Original black star “Not For Sale” promotional Apple Records labels with the P-1873 catalog number on both sides. Incredibly rare release featuring the mastering by Capitol Records’ Wallace Edward Traugott whose hand etched initials are located in the runout groove on both sides next to the “Mastered by Capitol” stamp. West Coast, Los Angeles, CA pressing with the “*” (asterisk) plant identifier contains the very early 1st matrix numbers: Side 1 (Mono) - PRO-6825-F-1 1 * Wly Mastered by Capitol; Side 2 (Stereo) -  S-45-48188-F-1:1 * Wly 2 Mastered by Capitol. The copy is accompanied by a rare West Coast black “Apple” sleeve with a sloped top.

I grade the original Apple Records picture sleeve as Excellent. It's very clean and doesn't have any splits, tears or missing pieces, just some very light age shelf wear on both sides. The stunning glossy vinyl is in Near Mint Minus condition only having a couple of very light non-feelable and barely noticeable hairlines on Side 1 but practically no marks on Side 2. The labels are very clean, scuff- and wear-free, and are in Near Mint condition. The vinyl plays amazing with soft and warm sound.
