Description
Promotional, near-mint original 1981 Columbia/CBS North American half-speed “Mastersound” edition of Paul McCartney and Wings’ classic album Band on the Run (catalog no. HC 46482). This was one of the first titles released by CBS in the half-speed mastered format, and was issued shortly after McCartney moved the catalog of his solo recordings from EMI to CBS.
The buyer will receive the item shown in the photos. The album is from my personal collection; I purchased it new in 1981, and have played it only a handful of times. The package includes the album’s original lyric sheet, the special plastic sealer used for shipping the album, and a copy of the spec sheet that CBS included with their half-speed pressings. The album’s label (pictured) clearly identifies it as a half-speed mastered recording.
