Paul McCartney & Wings - First American Concert
(King Kong Records 4598 USA Double LP 1976)
This is a USA original Double LP pressing. It has a heavyweight plain white single card sleeve. This has a front paper "insert" picture cover. It has a blank back cover. The front cover insert sheet has, at some point, been taped to the front sleeve with clear tape around all four edges. The tape has long since gone. So, the insert paper front cover is loose & no longer attached to the front. There is no spine text on the spine. Both records come with their original plain paper company inner sleeves. The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have red "T. Rex" labels. The records have 1st press A/ B/C/ D matrix stampers. This concert was, I believe, recorded at Fort Worth, Texas on the 3rd May 1976. The tracks are:

This is a 1976 genuine original USA Double LP pressing. Obviously the recordings are not to the highest standard. The quality or the recordings does seem to vary on some tracks. However, overall, the quality is very good. I have some other rare & collectable 1960's & 1970's UK original LP's & 7" singles for sale too. Please see my other listings.
Sleeve: As stated, the front insert sheet, at some point, was taped along all four edges to the front sleeve. The tape is long gone. It has left a tape tear strip along the majority of the bottom edge of the paper insert. There is a very small 1 cm tear at the top edge of the insert. There is some tape staining along the four edges of the insert, & also in the same area on the front of the plain white card sleeve. There is a small bit of writing, relating to the album, at the top area of the rear sleeve. This is in blue biro. There is a small area of hairline cracking at the centre of the spine. There is some light, mild or very mild foxing at the sleeve opening area of the white card sleeve. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good condition
Vinyl 1: There is a small area of feint hairline pressing marks on Side 1. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Otherwise, there are some light or very minor sleeve rubs on a few areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. The paper inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, Near Excellent condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits. The track titles have been written neatly on one side.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
Vinyl 2: There are some light or very minor sleeve rubs on a few areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. The paper inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. Mainly on the dead wax area on Side 3. Overall, Near Excellent condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There is a 7 cm seam split at the top of one side edge only.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
