Description
Paul McCartney's 1st Album After The Beatles 'McCartney' Factory Sample Demo EX+.
This is Paul's 1st Album on the dark green Apple label from April 1970.
It is the very 1st Pressing denoted by the EMI Records, Gramophone co.ltd. Statement on the cover. These are 1st Pressings, those with Apple Records are 2nd.
The factory sample sticker is on the A side.
This record has had very few plays but I can report that I have just played it and it plays brilliantly. There is the odd pop here and there but there are no skips or sticks, a professional clean wouldn't go amiss on this lovely record.
The Vinyl surfaces are in superb ex+ condition with the odd bag rash from the inner sleeve under a very bright light.
The labels are superb too with no marks or spindle trails that I can detect, as said this has been played very little.
The inner sleeve is the correct patent no. version with no seam splits, I will place the record on another inner so it will not get any!
Matrix no. Yex 775 A-2u and yex 776 B-2u.
Stampers are PA5 and LH4.
The sleeve is lovely and highly laminated both inside and outside the gatefold. There are few laminate creases which show up more on the black background. The are no splits or tears. There is a small indented name top right that I noticed when tipping the cover to the light, it very unnoticeable in normal light.
Overall a superb early McCartney factory sample demo that you will not be disappointed in.
