Description
In the early 1980s, there was some serious talk of a Paul Revere & The Raiders comeback. Such talk was based in large part on the talents of lead singer Michael Bradley. Bradley and his bandmates were not only fantastic musicians, but were also contributing exciting new material to bring The Raiders back to the spotlight. One such effort was "Do You Really Mind", which was performed at Disneyland and other high-profile venues. That song, along with four other "new" songs, is featured on this LP, "Special Edition". Side 2 consists of remakes of five Raiders classics. Everything has that early '80s feel, and listening to it all does give one the sense that Paul Revere & The Raiders were at least close to being taken seriously as potential hitmakers at the time. Unfortunately, shortly after the release of this album, Michael Bradley left to pursue a solo career. He never achieved worldwide fame, but he's fairly well-known for co-writing a song recorded by Jermaine Jackson and Pia Zadora and for contributing to the soundtrack of the animated series "Robotech". In this auction, you have an opportunity to own a rare piece of Paul Revere & The Raiders history. To make it even better, this album has never been opened. Happy bidding!
