If the title track is the ‘A’ side, with ‘I Am A Rock’ hand written in pen then the official label which states; ‘Please Play Other Side’ is wrong. Because this side does indeed play the Paul Simon classic. The other side of this metal acetate is ‘Run, Spy, Run’ which I have played through only once and is orchestral. As you can see, the item was recorded in London. Some of the Vinyl has come away from the disc, so it will not play through from start to finish, however if you put your pick-up about half way on the Paul Simon side it will play out, well at least it did for me. The scans clearly show where the vinyl is missing from the disc, which will be dispatched in the sleeve I obtained the item in. Handle this one with care.
The acetate disk's recording surface is very soft, as the records were actually cut on a machine. The material for this surface is generally an acetate-based material (usually black, but colours vary), hence the name "acetate." It has a particular musty odour to it, as well. Since they were actually cut on a machine, and the recording surface is soft, repeated playing decreases the sound quality. Considering that most of the acetates you will find have been used, there will be a bit of a hiss to them. This is no fault of the engineering; acetate records were not designed for repeated use.
GRADING/CONDITION:-
Items are graded visually according to accepted Record Collector standards.
Sleeves/covers graded first and the vinyl second.
Mint, Ex, Vg, Good, Fair, Poor and Bad.
With the exception of plus and minus signs; (+ & -)
I might list a record I consider to be better than excellent but not quite mint as; (Mint-) etc. Any noticeable faults with the playback/sound of the item will be pointed out. Records are graded to standard and not age.

All goods will be dispatched by 1st class recorded delivery within the U.K. Airsure which offers a door-to-door track/trace service will send all overseas deliveries wherever possible. Insurance on single or multiple items valued over £500, I personally will cover the cost of the insurance and dispatch via Postage Supermarket. Again this is a signed for track/trace service. Postage Discounts will be offered automatically if more than one item is being dispatched in the same parcel. All items are sent out in professional mailers.
