Description
Hi and thanks for looking.
This is a 99p start no reserve auction for a UK first press of the Paul Weller vinyl LP Heavy Soul. Bought new by me on the release day back in '97. . .
As you can see in pics 1 and 12 it comes with the NME advertisement from that same week which I saved at the time. I always used to do that and it's a nice bit of extra provenance down the line.
The LP comes in its original gatefold sleeve accompanied by an embossed photo inner sleeve and separate lyric sheet/ reverse print.
Condition wise the gatefold is generally vgc but has one small tear which I've pictured specifically. Otherwise the sleeve/ inner/ lyric sheet is excellent.
I spun it today and the record plays fine but has light surface scratches from heavy rotation at the time which translates to some low level noise consistent with age and use on the run in grooves and between tracks. No jumping or sticking though & nothing to spoil your enjoyment of what is getting on for a thirty year old disc.
I have to say I'd forgotten what a great record it is. Probably underrated, following as it did Wild Wood and Stanley Rd. I think I prefer it to both.
Postage will be Royal Mail signed for, for our mutual peace of mind. Overseas bidders please drop me a line before bidding so we can check postage rates.
Otherwise any questions send me a message.
No reserve, no BIN, highest bidder wins.
Thanks
