Description

A great, unreleased publishing demo version of “Out in the Country,” complete with the original sheet music. Presumably this is the version that Three Dog Night based their 1970 hit rendition on. The simple arrangement and agile bass lines suggests it was recorded in the same session as Williams’ and Nichols’ similar-sounding original demo of “We’ve Only Just Begun.” Williams made a different recording of the tune for his 1972 LP Life Goes On. Condition is VG+ with some surface wear and a very slight warp, neither of which affect playback. The audio linked below comes directly from it.
