Description

This is part of a big auction full of 1950's blues and R&B 45's that I'm running this week.  There are many rarities from Peacock & Savoy as well as several from smaller labels.  Lots of gems here! Keep an eye on the store as well, I'm doing a jazz 45's auction starting in early February.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1953


Notes: Original red label 1st pressing on the Peacock label. This 7" was issued in 1953, but these songs were originally released on 78 in 1951. Great midtempo female vocals on both sides.  Instrumentation is somewhere between jazz and blues.  Really good stuff here.


Vinyl Condition: VG, vinyl is in good shape, but does have lots of fine scuffs.  They don't really affect play though.  This plays much better than it looks. Great sound with just a couple of very mild spots of crackle. Labels have some scuffing, but no tears or writing.
