Description

This week I'm doing an auction of 78's. The majority will be late 40's-early 50's jump blues, R&B & doo-wop. Lots of good, early stuff here. I'm also including several early jazz records, a few very early and a handful of swing/early bop. If there is interest in these, I will list more. Release: Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton -  I Smell a Rat / I've Searched The Whole World Over

Format: 78 rpm 10" shellac record 

Year: 1954

Notes: Red label first pressing. Earlier single by Thornton, who first performed Hound Dog. Both of her sides can be seen here. The A-side is here is a blistering electric blues track while the B-side more more of an R&B leaning ballad. Both of these are phenomenal.
Record Condition: N-, The record itself is in great shape & plays very well, no real wear at all. Very clean with good original gloss. Plays great with excellent sound. Labels are also very clean with no writing/tears/scuffs. Top notch condition overall. 
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I use the VJM grading system for all 78's. The records will all be shipped in boxes sandwiched between cardboard for maximum protection in transit.
