Description

This is part of a big auction full of 1950's blues and R&B 45's that I'm running this week.  There are many rarities from Peacock & Savoy as well as several from smaller labels.  Lots of gems here! Keep an eye on the store as well, I'm doing a jazz 45's auction starting in early February.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1957


Notes: Original dark red label 1st pressing on the Peacock label. Early release of just a few by this Texas artist. Really driving harmonica blues here. Much more straight blues than a lot of his other, more R&B stuff.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl itself is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Cosmetically though, there is some visible hazing. It sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels don't have any writing/tearing/stickers, but there is some scuffing/damage due to liquid exposure. See pics for details.  I'm giving this the not to a weak VG+ because of the playability.  You might grade it VG due to cosmetics, it's right on the line.
