Description

This is part of a big auction full of gospel record from Peacock, Gospel, Savoy & Nashboro.  Great stuff that is often overlooked.  Many of these are promos and all are in great shape.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1956


Notes: Original release with the black labels. An odd 45 with different artists on each side. One of only four singles credited to Sister Bertha Robinson whom I assume is related to Cleophus Robinson, but I'm not sure how. Pretty standard gospel here with a bit of soul mixed in.  More good stuff on Peacock. 


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape, very clean with almost no wear at all. Both sides play very well with no noticeable background noise.  No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are really clean as well, just a bit of light scuffing.  This is a very nice copy overall.


Due to travel and the holidays, this will be my last auction of the year.  Mark me as a favorite though because I have some killer rockabilly and small label blues/R&B auctions coming in January.
