Pearl Jam – Vs. – Original 1993 U.S. Vinyl LP – Epic Associated Z 53136
Original 1993 U.S. pressing of Pearl Jam’s Vs. on Epic Associated Records. This is the original single-LP release, not a later reissue.
Pressing details:
* Label: Epic Associated
* Catalog #: Z 53136
* Year: 1993
* Country: USA
* Format: 1 LP, black vinyl
* Original gatefold jacket
* Original printed inner sleeve included
Matrix / runout:
* Side A: AL-53136-2A 2
* Side B: BL-53136-2A 3
These runouts are consistent with the original 1993 U.S. pressing.
Interesting note about this pressing:
The original vinyl edition was released on October 12, 1993, one week before the album’s general U.S. release. The album had previously been planned under the title Five Against One before the band changed the title to Vs. late in production.
As a result, this original vinyl packaging has the distinctive early presentation: there is no “Pearl Jam” or “Vs.” printed on the front cover, and the album title “Vs.” does not appear on the spine. The spine simply identifies the band as “pearl jam.” This is correct for the original release and is not a printing error or missing artwork.
Condition:
Vinyl: NM (Near Mint) – Exceptionally clean original vinyl with little evidence of play. Carefully stored for more than 30 years.
Jacket: VG+ – Overall very presentable with visible shelf/storage wear around the edges and corners from long-term storage. No attempt has been made to hide the wear; please review the photos carefully for exact jacket condition.
Original printed inner sleeve is included.
A very nice original copy with particularly clean vinyl and fully documented matrix numbers.
Will be carefully packed in a proper record mailer, with the vinyl removed from the outer jacket during shipping to help prevent seam splits.
