Up for auction is Columbia 14270 Peg Leg Howell - Hobo Blues / Moanin' and Groanin' Blues. This record grades about V. However, I am not a professional record grader so look at the photos and decide for yourself. There are a few "spider lines" that can be seen when the record is at a certain angle but no cracks. It plays fairly well for a record from this era. All questions are welcome. Local pickup is welcome and encouraged.
Regarding the question below:
*** After listening to the record on my player, I will say that it plays decent to me and I will hold to the grade of 'about' V (in my opinion on a portable record player). If there are any "stripped grooves" I cannot tell...it would be above my level of expertise. The record seemed to play consistant to me. I do see a scratch about 1/2" on the Hobo side near the end of the tune. That is about all I can add. If you are looking for a V+ or better record, or if you have an ultra conservative grading scale you might want to pass on it. It's currently sitting at 99 cents with no bidders....hope this has helped. Thanks for your inquiry.***
