Background & history ## Songs from Pete Kelly's Blues is an album by jazz singer Peggy Lee that contains songs from the film Pete Kelly's Blues (1955). Lee starred in the film and re-recorded some of the songs for this album. Lee was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a troubled singer. Given that the film occurs in the 1920s, the album is a combination of Dixieland and 1950s Swing, Soulful Blues with help from jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald. ## Condition Report
The Vinyl is described as Excellent+ & boy did it play to that today, well below average background & no skips or stops. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of extremely fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre. The Cover is described as VG+. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. There are some colour & minor paper losses to edges & spine. There are some minor areas of foxing to front & verso. No seam splits. Couple of minor stains here & there, plus some hand written notations to top left verso. Please see attached photos...
