Description

Probably only a handful of these were made. I've owned a record store for over 20 years and I've never seen it before and there is no history of it online. VG condition with surface noise. Please familiarize yourself with VG condition if you are not aware of the definition. Made in Canada in 1962. The locked grooves keep the needle from playing more than one jingle at a time. Swinging, hip, space-age, female-vocal, big band numbers! Sounds a lot like the boys from the "Doctored For Stereo" / "Percussive Jazz" series on Audio Fidelity Records (Peter Appleyard, Sid Cooper etc.). Some tracks also have a recognizable male voice-over artist in the middle of the songs. Lots of fun! The lady sounds like Blossom Dearie! Produced by BBDO Inc, Montreal, -which is still a powerhouse firm and can be found with a quick search online. I've posted a track on YouTube. Search "Pepsi Cola Canada Limited Blossom Dearie?"
