Pete Brown and his Battered Ornaments - A Meal You Can Shake Hands With In the Dark
Original UK issue from 1969
Harvest SHVL 752, stereo
This is a very rare LP by the Battered Ornaments who at this stage were still fronted by Pete Brown.
Please also check out my other Pete Brown related auctions this week!
Condition is EX/EX (sleeve/record)
Note: I STRICTLY follow Record Collector's grading system. You will not be disappointed!!
Matrix numbers: SHVL 752 A-2 / SHVL 752 B-2
Outer sleeve front is in excellent condition with only slight wear and minor creasing and surface scratches.
Outer sleeve back is in excellent condition with only slight wear and minor creasing and surface scratches.
Foldout is in absolutely excellent condition. There is discoloring on both sides towards the edges as can be seen on the detail photos - but this is entirely due to age and nothing else.
Overall impression of the outer sleeve is excellent. The cover is clean, smells nicely and does not give an aged impression. Spine is also in excellent condition. Had it not been 40 years old, the sleeve would probably have been graded as mint.
Record is in excellent condition. The record has most probably never been played - however, during the almost 40 years of its existence it has been handled by several people and there are some slight but nevertheless visible surface marks. Vinyl is glossy and record is perfectly flat with no warps.
Labels on both sides are in excellent condition. They are clean and without scruff marks or discolouring
White inner sleeve: Original white paper bag is in excellent condition.
Overall, it is difficult to grade an almost 40 year old record as mint, so here we are with an EX grading - but where would you find this LP in a better condition?? I have searched for this record in the completed listings section of eBay and have not been able to find it in any condtion - so here is your chance to grab a real beauty!
