RECORD: Mint, appears unplayed, absolutely shiny and new! Perfect.
COMMENTS: Another all-time Blue Note classic! Drummer Pete La Roca (Sims) only album as a leader for Blue Note. La Roca assemled a crack team to back him up: Joe Henderson (tenor sax), Steve Kuhn (piano), and Steve Swallow (bass). The tunes here are far out in a very righteous way. 3 original compositions by Pete La Roca, one from Swallow and two other tunes. All very memorable and unique in the Blue Note catalogue. This series of reissues from the '90s are on beautiful heavyweight pressings with great cover reproductions too. Another essential jazz record for all of you heads out there!
