From 1981 on the UK Selena label, catalogue number SD 006........this is a stonking double header slice of roots. The A side features the late great Peter Broggs doing a cut of Jah Golden Throne. He updated it later on a re-release single and album cut, he also had a version on 7" called I A Field Marshall which was a limited 7" in 1979 the same cut also released as a UK 12" on the HITRUN label. But this is the best cut from 1981 on this UK 12". The A side features the vocal cut which then runs into the dub. The B side is a version of the rhythm used for Dennis Brown's " Children Of Israel" which was originally done by The Heptones as " I'm Your Man " for Studio One back in 1971. So here we have two heavy early 80's rhythms on one piece of vinyl. The vinyl is graded visually as very good with a few scuff marks but only surface marks, there are a couple of spindle marks on the labels. This has certainly been played a lot by me as this is a top tune, but the sound remains crisp and loud with only one or two pops and crackles but really not affecting the playback at all. There is just one copy for sale on another selling site at £135.........but this is a top copy at a starting price of at least half that.
