PETER GABRIEL...........BIG TIME 4:24............GEFFEN RECORDS 7-28503-A dated 10-21-86 ARTISAN SOUND RECORDERS 1-sided 10" Acetate!!!
This is an Ultra-rare 1-sided 10" Artisan Sound Recorders U.S.A. acetate in a Artisan Sound Recorders labeled paper slip cover (paper sleeve has a pen mark and a very minor tear on back at the cut out...see description below on acetates.....). The track is "Big Time" 4:24 and this track pushed the envelope on 80's music at the time. This is the only one of these I am aware of in existence. Sometimes a few are made but I am not aware of any others. This is in Near Mint condition with nice shiny surfaces front and back with only very light paper scuffs/marks (see pictures front and back). You will have a very difficult time finding acetates in better condition then the ones I am selling. I am VERY particular (check my feedback) and this is not like the trashed acetates you see so many of that are almost dull in finish from having been played like a record over and over. I obtained this disc back in the mid-1980s and stored it out of the light in protective sleeves. I just checked the sound quality and it was as if I was listing to the first time this track was CUT in the studio. I cannot comment on how unique or similar this is to the released version, but each acetate is unique (see comments on acetates below). This has been stored with care by me in a protective sleeve and in a smoke-free environment. Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to obtain an amazing acetate.

"Acetates: Aluminum discs of various sizes (7, 10 or 12 inch) with a thin coating of shellac or vinyl. These discs are not pressed like regular vinyl issues. Instead, they are INDIVIDUALLY cut by the master cutter as a "pre" test pressing to give directions as to how the final cut should go. As such, EACH acetate is unique, and acetates constitute some of the rarest items in the whole field of record collecting."
