Description
For sale is Peter Gabriel's So, released in 1986 on Geffen Records. I bought this used and immediately put this album, like all my records, into a protective MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers SR-3/SR-2, signifying that an early stamper was used for this first pressing. Following these numbers is etched what appears to be a picture of a record with two radiating arms. This represents that the vinyl used was Quiex, an ultra pure vinyl know for its ultimate quiet sound .These are all hallmarks of superior sound quality from a recording and much sought after by collectors. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of some stress cracks along the spine, ring wear and corner blunts. The spine has color loss from some tears in the middle from the stress cracks and the corner rubs. The vinyl is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life to it. This is still one of the best copies of this hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more albums of all genres in my Ebay store. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
