Description
Peter Green's "In The Skies" is a landmark solo album released in 1979, showcasing the legendary guitarist's distinctive blues-rock style. This 12" vinyl LP was originally issued on PVK Records and licensed to Sail Records for North American distribution. The album features Peter Green on vocals and electric guitars, supported by a talented lineup including Snowy White on lead guitar and Lennox Langton on percussion. The pressing is a standard black vinyl running at 33 RPM, housed in a cardboard sleeve with classic minimalist artwork featuring stylized green text and an abstract face design on the front cover.
The tracklist includes standout songs such as "In The Skies," "Slabo Day," "A Fool No More," and "Tribal Dance" on Side One, with Side Two featuring "Seven Stars," "Funky Chunk," and "Just For You." Produced by Peter Vernon-Kell and mastered at Master Disc, this pressing is notable for being a licensed North American release from 1979 distributed by Rounder Records. The album's design credits go to Susan Marsh with cover concept work by Peter Cormack and Josiah Spaulding Jr. This release is a must-have for collectors of classic blues-rock and Peter Green's solo oeuvre.
