Great EX/MINT first press (check the matrix) copy of their debut LP on this very collectable label.

This LP formed part of a superbly preserved collection. Bought new at the time of release, the former owner (a librarian, really) was fanatical about looking after his vinyl and this record was only occasionally played on a Linn deck. Please see the other LPs from this collection we are currently selling, all of which are Excellent to Mint.

Overall Sleeve Condition : EXCELLENT.

Front cover: Laminated front cover. The laminate sleeve is glossy, with bright, unfaded colours. Very light rubs to the laminate can be seen when viewed under a bright light at an angle. Some small creases are also visible.

Rear cover: Matt rear cover, very light rubs.

Edges: Very light rubbing in a few places.

Corners:  Very light rubs.

Opening Slit:  Slightly roughened.

Vinyl Condition, Visual: EXCELLENT (NEAR MINT).

Side A is totally mint. Side B has a few tiny wipe plasticised marks from when  the record has being removed from the polylined inner sleeve.

Vinyl Condition, Audible:  MINT.

Plays superbly. Well preserved and cared for, no decrease from the original sound quality. Kept in stunning condition by the previous owner. No skips, no jumps, no static crackle, no dust crackles, no sign of any play, no wear.

Label Condition : MINT.

No spindle wear around centre hole, very minor and virtually invisible spindle wear around centre hole.

Fleetwood Mac's debut LP was a highlight of the late-'60s British blues boom. Green's always inspired playing, the capable (if erratic) songwriting, and the general panache of the band as a whole placed them leagues above the overcrowded field. Elmore James is a big influence on this set, particularly on the tunes fronted by Jeremy Spencer ("Shake Your Moneymaker," "Got to Move"). Spencer's bluster, however, was outshone by the budding singing and songwriting skills of Green. The guitarist balanced humor and vulnerability on cuts like "Looking for Somebody" and "Long Grey Mare," and with "If I Loved Another Woman," he offered a glimpse of the Latin-blues fusion that he would perfect with "Black Magic Woman." The album was an unexpected smash in the U.K., reaching number four on the British charts.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
