Peter Pan records was delighted to have the opportunity to bring to the public its original recording production based on William Castle's Ghost Story. There has always been a large audience to enjoy the "horror" or "fright" story whether it be by sight or sound or written word. On this record, they massed together the ultimate in fright and suspense sounds.
The front cover has a colorful picture of a Haunted House with a picture of William Castle.
The back of the cover has a black and white photo of William Castle, a short bio and a synopsis about the record. Also has the titles from the record with the story about the title.
If you enjoy scary records, then this record will make a nice addition to your record collection or for Halloween.
Side A The Horrors of Mansfield House
1. The Deadly Dog
- A knock at the door. A guest arrives. The sniffing and panting of a hungry dog begins. The Guest secludes himself in his room. Bu the barking and vicious snarling increases. The howling gets louder. Scratches at the window. The breaking of glass. The attack. Screams. And another victim has been fed to the guardian of Mansfield House.
2. The Deadly Orchid
- A stroll in the gardens of Mansfield House confronts Mrs. Briles with thousands of insatiable bees and a woman eating orchid.
3. The Dead Do Return
- Mr. Lewis is to find no peace in his room this night. The corpse he thought he had disposed of has returned to give back the favor.
4. The Deadly Waiter
- Miss Mary order to room service for an evening nightcap brings a celebrated vampire in the guise of a waiter to her door. He helps himself to a bloody Mary.
5. Lobotomy And The Shock Treatment
- Mansfield House's psychedelic night club features an usually mad/mod group called Lobotomy and the Shock Treatment. Their admirers end up in straight jackets.
